What comes in the box

The Navision 1080p mini Wi-Fi camera package usually includes the camera, a USB charging cable, a magnetic/gooseneck mount and a microSD card slot on the camera body. The camera itself is magnetic, so you can attach it to many metal surfaces without using the mount.

The main buttons are simple: power, reset, USB charging and the microSD slot. The tricky part is not the hardware. The tricky part is waiting for the correct light pattern before pairing it in the app.

Quick expectation check

This is a small utility camera, not a full security system. Use it for legal, transparent monitoring like checking a room, a project area, a garage, a 3D printer, pets, or a setup where people know recording may happen.

02

First setup: power, reset and pairing mode

Before opening the app, charge the camera and insert a microSD card if you plan to record locally. Then follow the light sequence patiently.

  1. Power it on.

Hold the power button for about 15 seconds until the indicator light turns on. Give it time to finish booting.

  2. Wait for pairing mode.

If the light is not blinking yet, wait. The camera can take around 30 to 45 seconds before it is ready to be added.

  3. Reset if needed.

Hold reset for about 30 seconds if the app cannot find it or if it was previously configured. After reset, wait for the light to show the pairing state again.

  4. Open V380 Pro.

Use the V380 Pro app, tap add camera, let the app detect the device, then enter your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi password.

Use 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi first

This type of mini camera normally pairs on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, not 5 GHz. If your phone is connected to the 5 GHz network during setup, switch to your 2.4 GHz network first, then go back to the app.

After pairing, the app may ask you to set a camera password. Do it immediately. A strong password matters because this camera can send live video to your phone when it has internet access.

Works best

  • 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi selected on the phone.
  • Correct Wi-Fi password typed slowly.
  • Camera close to the router during setup.

Common mistake

  • Trying to pair while connected to 5 GHz.
  • Resetting too quickly before the camera finishes booting.
  • Leaving the default or weak camera password.
04

Live view vs microSD recording

There are two ways to think about this camera. If the camera is connected to Wi-Fi, you can open the app and view the live feed. If you insert a microSD card and configure recording, the camera can record to local storage.

That local recording option is useful because the camera does not need internet forever after the first setup. You can configure it at home, power it off, place it somewhere appropriate, power it on, and review the microSD footage later.

Best practical setting

For most users, continuous recording to microSD is easier than trying to depend only on motion events. Just remember that storage fills up, battery runs out, and local laws still apply.

05

Battery life and 24/7 power

The built-in battery is limited. In the video, the expectation is around two hours of battery use, depending on settings, signal, recording and battery condition.

For longer recording, keep the camera powered with the included USB cable, a phone charger, a laptop USB port or a power bank that provides 5V. If you want it running all day, external power is the realistic setup.

06

Use it legally and respectfully

Mini cameras are useful, but they can cross a line fast. Do not record people in private spaces, do not hide it where people reasonably expect privacy, and do not use it for stalking, harassment or secret surveillance.

Use it where you have permission: your own workspace, a garage, a shop area, a visible home monitoring spot, a pet area, or a project you are documenting. When other people are around, make the recording obvious and follow your local rules.

Before buying, check whether the listing includes a microSD card, what storage size it supports, and whether your router has a separate 2.4 GHz network available.

FAQ

Why will the camera not connect?

Most failed setups come from using 5 GHz Wi-Fi, typing the wrong password, standing too far from the router, or trying to add the camera before it finishes entering pairing mode.

Can it record without internet?

After initial setup, local microSD recording can work without live internet access, as long as recording was configured correctly and the camera has power.

Does the camera have a speaker?

This style of camera may let you listen through the app, but it does not work like a full two-way speaker system. Treat audio features as basic and test them before relying on them.
